Making it through difficult times (Psalm 84)

 1) How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty.

2) I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord.  With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.

3) Even the sparrow finds a home there, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young---at a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God.

4) How happy are those who can live in your house, always singing your praise.  interlude.

5) Happy are those who are strong in the Lord, who set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.

6) When they walk through the valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs, where pools of blessing collect after the rains.

7) They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.

I hope that my sharing about the Presence of God  doesn't bore you and that you are encouraged by these devotional.  There is definitely a theme in the Psalms and that is the presence of God but most important of all, God himself from all blessings flow.  What we may frown upon as being a blessing is often a blessing in disguise or something waiting to become a blessing.  Like in breadmaking, if you use yeast it taste awful but the bread that comes out of it taste great.  Yeast is like that, it comes into our lives as an unpleasant situation but wait because a blessing is on its way.  That is what it says in this psalm in verse 6, "When they walk through the valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs, where pools of blessing collect after the rains!"

Out of that bad situation if you walk victoriously out of it you will become stronger and you will appear before God.

I just want everyone to see how precious are God's promises and how well they are connected to God's presence and how king David won the privilege of being called a man after God's own heart and you can also be.
