Good News! He died for all, even for the the worst sinner. (Romans 5:6-9)

When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, no one is likely to die for a good person, though someone might be willing to die for a person who is especially good.  But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.  And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment. When each one on earth were utterly helpless...We have to get to that point in our lives before we can  saved.  We have to come to that point when nothing, absolutely nothing can save us except Christ.  As long as you are still hanging to a piece of raft on the water.  You are not utterly helpless.  Christ will come at just the right time to save you.  Jesus Christ didn't come to die for good people or those that think they are good.  He came to die for the worst sinners.  If we can admit it, we all at one time have done some bad things but even

The Party is almost over! (John 16:7-11) (2 Thessalonians 2:7)

June 05, 2020 But it is actually best for you that I go away, because if I don't the Counselor won't come.  If I do go away, he will come because I will send to you.  And when he comes, he will convince the world of its sin, and of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgment.  The world's sin is unbelief in me.  Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more.  Judgment will come because the prince of this world has already been judged. Jesus was letting his disciplesknow before his crucifixion that soon he would go away but that he would not leave them alone, consequently, he would send the Counselor which is one of the title of the Holy Spirit.  Another title for the Holy Spirit is Comforter.  These titles refers only to the Holy Spirit relation to the believer. Unfortunately, the Holy Spirit has been abused by a lot of people.  To name a few of those abuses, he is not a "it" making him a thing.  He is a person, h

Receive the Living Water (John 4:3-10)

So he left Judea to return to Galilee. He had to go through Samaria on the way.  Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.  Jacob's well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.  Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, "Please give me a drink."  He was alone at the time because his disciples  had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans.  She said to Jesus, "You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman.  Why are you asking me for a drink?" Jesus replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who I am, you would ask me, and I would give you living water." Today in our world people are obviously angry, defeated maybe by all that is happening and I don't blame them.  There is a lot to be angry about.  We just have to kee

Throw your Net on the Right side (John 21:3-6)

Simon Peter said, "I am going fishing." We'll come, too," they all said.  So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. At dawn the disciples saw Jesus standing on the beach, but they couldn't see who he was.   He called out, "Friends, have you caught any fish?' "No," they replied. Then he said, "Throw your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you'll get plenty of fish!" So they did, and they couldn't  draw in the net because there were so many fish in it. Now in the light of what I said yesterday about God loving you and the world many times over and with everything that is happening in this world...Do you feel his love?  Probably not, because his love is not necessarily meant to be felt but to be known, to be aware of despite of what is happening around you. Many people like the disciples have prayed all night or worked hard all night at being religious but have not caught any fish.  Life can be tou

God loves you (John 3;16-18)

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life.  God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him.  But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. I like these verses in this chapter 3 of John.  The whole chapter would be good for anyone to read.  It's a dialogue with Nicodemus, one of the religious leader of that time who was curious about who Jesus was.  One of the most important verse in the Gospel, if not the whole Bible is John 3:16 and yet it still needs to be meditated upon for insight. Questions like:  1) What is God's love?                            2) How can he be mad at me if he loves me?                            3) What did it mean to God to give his only Son in order to love the world? First of all, God's love is very beautiful and pure.  So much so that

Jesus Christ is the Rock Foundation Matthew 7:24-27

Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.  Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse, because it is build on rock.  But anyone who hears my teaching and ignores it is foolish. like a person who builds a house on sand.  When the rains and  floods come and the winds beat against that house, it falls with a mighty crash. Jesus concludes his sermon on the mountain with these words.  He claims that anyone who follows his teachings and obey him will build his house wisely.  Anyone who does not care about his teachings and do it his own way will basically go bankrupted and lose everything he has.   We don't have to look very far sometimes.  I look at my own life and I realize I could have listened  more closely to his teaching and obeyed them instead of at times doing it my own way.   But we have one life to live and some people think that the best w
