His Faithfulness is Anchored in the Sky (Psalm 89)

I have come to appreciate what the 89 th Psalm proclaims: In the second verse it says: “Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens” (NLT) But in my French Bible it says something like…” Your faithfulness is anchored in the sky” (Francais courant) As I read the rest of the psalm, I understand why he speak of the faithfulness of God with so much respect.   The rest of the psalm speaks of the covenant God has made with David and it will never be broken.   In fact, one of his descendants will have an eternal kingdom and now we understand that this descendant is none other than Jesus, the Messiah himself.   Because in verse 26-27 it says: “And he will say to me, ‘You are my Father, my God and the Rock of my salvation.’ I will make him my firstborn son, the mightiest king on earth. Jesus, who is not who, was, is that mightiest king and he is coming back to establish his Kingdom forever because he is not just faithful to David but to all the seed of the promise to ...

God's Forever Covenant With Us (Psalm 89:26 37)

In Psalm 89:26-37 And he will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’ I will make him my firstborn son, the mightiest king on the earth.   I will love him and be kind to him forever; my covenant with him will never end.   I will preserve an heir for him; his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven. But if his descendants forsake my instructions and fail to obey my regulations, If they do not obey my decrees and fail to keep my commands, then I will their sin with the rod and their disobedience with beating. But I will never stop loving him nor fail to keep my promise to him.   No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back a single word I said. I have sworn an oath to David, and in my holiness, I cannot lie: his dynasty will go forever; his kingdom will endure as the sun. It will be as eternal as the moon, my faithful witness in the sky!”   God is faithful to his covenant with David and Jesus to all t...

Words of Comfort

Words of Comfort As the past days have come and gone, now I receive words of comfort from the Bible of course.     “This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant. The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing office, but he holds his priesthood permanently because he continues forever . Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:22-25) These verses particularly brought comfort to me because as I was reading from the French Bible I was greatly encouraged by the word ‘Toujours’ which means ‘always’.   I underlined in the text the words in English which mean ‘always.   Aren’t you glad that Jesus’s priesthood is one that lasts forever and endures through everything?   To make it easier to understand, I not only like certain products for their brands but especially for any...
