Consistency is the name of the game

Hello everyone It appears that my laptop is not connected to the internet and I have not figured out what is wrong yet. So I am writing this blog via my phone. The main challenge I have for myself and for those of you who want to participate is this: 1) Consistency in abiding in Christ . It’s so easy to miss this. We can abide but maybe not as long as we want to. We abide maybe 5 minutes and then slip in the flesh. Consistency every hour of every day takes practice. Let’s get better at it 2) Consistency in giving : I was raised in home where giving to the church was discouraged and made fun of. Yet from the time I became born again I have opened up and practiced consistency  with my giving. The Lord has blessed me over the years  3) Consistency in Life : another challenge is that of being consistent in loving others and having a plan in doing it.  We like to be creative at times…Why not be creative in the art of loving others. We look to google for many things but we can also look for

Not Just Nice Words (John 15:22 -16:1)

Not just nice words (John 15:22 – 16:1) Chapter 15:4 Abide in Jesus like a branch abide in the Vine.    He is the Vine Chapter 15:9 Abide in my Love, in my commandments. You are my friends. Abide and you will bear fruit. Chapter 15:18-21 As a result of the fruit in your life persecution will come. As it is for Jesus it will be for you.  The Love that perspires out of your life is too much for them to take. To make a long story shorter, I feel that our call is to abide in Christ who is the Vine and that out of this abiding Love will blossom in our lives and affect others.  When it Love comes to you don’t stop it and when it goes out of you, that Love don’t stop it.  This wind of love will affect in turn the world who will see Jesus and like they did to him, they will persecute you.  But here is the part I am excited about (Chapter 15:26). During these changes, the Holy Spirit who is a person not a thing will be with you and as you keep doing his commandments.  He, the Holy Spirit who

Living the Fruitful Life (John 15:4)

Remain in me, and I will remain in you.  For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful apart from me. Over and over the Spirit of the Lord has been showing me the importance of remaining in Him.  The Holy Spirit is as equally God as the Son is. So why not submit to the Holy Spirit for a fruitful life.  For only in the Spirit is a fruitful life attained. The fruitful life is a lot more attainable than you realize.  You don't have to be uptight, you can relax and it's not at all a bunch of do's and don'ts's.  Under the leading of the Spirit it's amazing how much everything just goes so smooth. This morning, my wife paid me a compliment in a way as she was saying that yesterday she wanted eggs for breakfast and she got them without asking me and today she wanted avocado which we had and she got it too.  I told her jokingly, "So I am doing everything I am supposed to, everything is on schedule."  Everything go
