Are we fooling ourselves?
“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save, or his ear dull, that It cannot hear; But your iniquities have made a separation. Between you and your God, And your sins have hidden his face from you So that he does not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1-2) I find this hard to speak about…Are we fooling ourselves thinking that all is good in our walk with God and it is not really going well with him or with people. I feel weak and uninspired to write but I do it anyway hoping that some fruits will be harvested in people’s lives. Is there a wall between us and the Lord? Have we really missed the mark? Sin means ‘missing the mark’ but it does not stop there! “If we confess our sins, he is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 john 1:9) By Jesus we can be forgiven.
