God's Light still Shines

It all started when I read: “ For God, who said, Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ .” ( 2 Corinthians 4:6)   I knew right there and then that God’s light was about to shine in my heart, and it did.   I was inspired by someone’s post about Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”   As the post went on with expectation, we might have on another. I realized I had expected my plans to take place in someone else’s and not God’s. I knew I had to do my part of releasing my grip on that person and allow God to work in theirs instead.   The light of God had shone in my heart. The revealing light of his presence. There is freedom in this and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. We must forgive and release people constantly because we not only bound them but ourselves as well and b

Walking in the Light

Walking in the light involves honesty to God and our fellow brothers and sisters.   This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, That God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we are in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, We have fellowship with one another, And the blood of Jesus, his Son cleanses us from all sins. (1John 1:5-7)   Where there is Light there is harmony, if we live in the Light as God is the Light we will be pure like he is.   We stay in the Light through the forgiveness of our sins.   Confession to him is essential and we cannot hide anything from God.   If you are not confessing, you are wasting your time and fellowship with him and other believers.   A relationship will not be free from difficulties, but it must be free of sins and hidden issues in all levels.   It is called ‘open relationship’. Our words and actions

Help Me God! ( Psalm 43)

Help Me God! (Psalm 43) As I meditated on this Psalm, I did not realize that today would be Thursday and that the post had to be published today which I am doing right now. The psalmist is experiencing adversity.   Does that ever happen to you?   Life can be chaotic. Most of my chaos happens because of my attitude to situations I find myself in.   They are all reactions filled with a lot of up-and-down emotions. Most of my situations and feelings through them can be dealt with the Light and Truth of God. Verse 3 (French Bible transliteration) “Make me see your Light and Truth, May they guide me to your holy mountain, (Light) May they drive me to your dwelling!” (Truth)   Light guides us Truth leads us.   Verse 4- Don’t you feel his desire to be with God and where he really is? He, then, realizes his mistake and notes that God is indeed his greatest JOY. Folks, there is nothing else that will bring you JOY like God.   Money is futile and does not last and s

The I AM's of God

The “I am’s” of God All that you need If you know him as he is, you don’t need another miracle.   To know him should be your miracle.   All that he is, is with you. Because he is with you, it makes sense when he also says: “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).   When you understand that truth, you will be alone.   When you trust him, all your needs are met. I am who I am (Exodus 3:14) God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. Here is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" This was the original verse of the I AM's.   The first time that God was promising Moses that he would go with him to the Israelites. The name I AM packs a punch and suggest that all the names of God are included in it. It was under God's authority that Moses went to them.   The names of God and Jesus also show people that you come under his authority and not your own. In the New International Reader's Version, it says it this way: "

Where do you go for Comfort? (Psalm 27:1-2)

The  Lord is my light and my salvation ---so why should I be afraid?  The Lord protects me from danger--- so why should I tremble? When evil people come to destroy me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.  Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will know no fear.  Even if they attack me, I remain confident. Where do you find comfort when you are hurting?  In your husband?  In your wife? In sex or alcohol or drugs?  Is your comfort in money? All of those things and people are unreliable because they could be gone in a blink of an eye.  Overnight! The Lord is my light - to light my way The Lord is my salvation - to save me What else do I need?  Why would I be afraid, he is my Comforter.  I am covered on every side.  Even when the tempest beats against the boat I won't drown.  The Lord protects me from danger --- does it say from some  danger, no if it doesn't say from all danger it's presume to be from all danger, any danger.  So why? Would I t
