If God does it, who am I not to do it?

Are you a god that you should know better than him who created everything from scratch?   Proverbs 8:22 (MSG) “ God has sovereignly made me- the first, the basic- before he did anything else. I was brought into being a long time ago.”   Today, my message is from the Word in Proverbs, and it is clear and to the point.   How many times have you started something without making wisdom, your sister? Do you hold wisdom close to your heart and mind? (Proverbs 7:4-5)   This verse in Proverbs 8:22 says that Wisdom was created first or God is sending us a strong message about wisdom. “If I started with it, you could too.” Start with wisdom in all you do. If you lift her up, she will lift you too.   Increasingly our society is letting go of wisdom . An example: Prayer in schools replaced by good behavior . Are we telling God what to do? How can we have our needs met if we do not put him and his kingdom first (Matthew 6:33)? Why do you think there is pove...

Praising Always!

There are many scriptures in the Bible that encourage us to praise the Lord. It is easy to praise God when we have a song in our heart, and everything is going great. It is a different story when it is not so good. It is like taking off the ground assuming you are a bird lifting a heavy weight. Can anyone relate?   It feels like we are constantly oppressed by the power of darkness. Could it be that what Israel is experiencing right now be the reason for this oppression?   Nevertheless, we must praise the Lord through this oppression. Things are happening in the heavenlies and in this world that we do not understand. Only God and the enemy understand, and we must persevere through this.   Anyway, I am calling on all the praisers out there to get singing (it is your privilege to be chosen as the ones who go first). It is going to be good. Victory is ours. It is not time to be weary and discouraged, it is time to confront a problem head-on and fight with praise ...

A Mind At Peace

We have a strong city: he sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks .   Open the gates, that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in.   You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.   Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. (Isaiah 26:1-4)     We have a strong city because it is filled with the strength and power of the Lord. Faith is what overcomes the world and with that faith the righteous nation is validated. No fear in her since her walls and bulwarks are set up with salvation. We have no good enough reason not to trust the Lord. We have the evidence based on his reputation from the past dealings in our lives. Don’t we know it is about time we trust the Lord. We cannot be negative or doubtful anymore. It is a waste of time and resources. Trusting him is a calling on our life. It is no longer a gentle request but a calling to our life. By trusting him we mak...
