Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples.  Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat.  But Jesus was sleeping.  The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We are going to drown!” Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got us and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked.   “Even the wind and the waves obey him!” (Matthew 8:23-27) Unpredictable Situations As soon as they got into the boat they didn’t know there would be a storm, but Jesus knows everything.   There was no way that they were going to die with Jesus there, even if he was sleeping.   He knew the storm would come just as he knows the storms that are coming in your life or even in this world.   We already have gone though a few storms together.   It made us stronger. One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's cross over to the other side of the lake."  So they got into the boat and started out.  On the way across, Jesus lay down for a nap, and while he was sleeping the wind began to rise.  A fierce storm developed that threatened to swamp them, and they were in real danger. The disciples woke him up, shouting, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!" So Jesus rebuked the wind and raging waves.  The storm stopped and all was calm!  Then he asked them, "Where is your faith?" And they were filled with awe and amazement.  They said to one another, "Who is this man, that even the winds and waves obey him?" I don't know what you are going through right now and maybe you are asking: "Where is God?"  He is there and although Jesus in his human form had a need for rest and sleep.  Jesus in his divinity didn't sleep. ' He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you will
