The Steps of the Godly

The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord.  He delights in every details of their lives.  Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.                                                    (Psalm 37:23-24) Oh! Do you feel and get a sense of knowing God carry you over in these verses?  A sense that he is always near?  If not, stop what you doing and press the 'Pause' button on your spirit and breathe.  You have worked too hard and have not waited on the Lord.  You have lost focus of him. The godly have that constant knowledge of the Lord's presence in their lives.  They are not foolish or stupid, they know they need help and they are not getting it from anybody but the Lord.  You might be on solid sand but they are on the solid Rock.  They see further too, and their ground ...

Losing the Ark

Finally, the day came when the Lord said to Noah, "Go into the boat with all your family, for among all the people of the earth, I consider you alone to be righteous. He was 600 years old when the the flood came                                                                                                                   (Genesis 7:1,6)   I have a wild imagination.  I wrote over 500 poems and at one time I could have written one about anything.  I have lost the habit now.  I still like to write though.  I was thinking today that we all need an Ark perspective, a tri-dimensional view of the ark.  This one is from the people who didn't make it into the ark.  How sad it re...

Loving the whole Verse (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will heard from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land. I like this verse and the way it's constructed.  I like the "and's" in this sentence connecting all the elements into one.  Not one element is more important than the other.  All must be done together. Humble could mean a lot of things to us and yet one thing humility is related to is 'rest'.  They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31)  The word "wait" means trust and God is fully aware of what happens inside of us.  A lot of mistrust, worry.  We can put a humble face, but God sure looks at the heart.  If humility is not part of our characters it doesn't count.  Are you afraid of what people may think of you?  Where is humility in that.  Now the kind of praying I am sure he is referring to is mostly ...

Missing the Ark (Genesis 6:6-8, 6:14) Genesis 6:9)

So the Lord was sorry he had made them.  It broke his heart.  And the Lord said, "I will completely wipe out this human race that I have created.  Yes, and I will destroy all the animals and birds, too.  I am sorry I ever made them."  But Noah found favor with the Lord. "Make a boat...." God's heart was broken>Noah found grace >The boat or the ark God's heart was broken>I found grace>The Cross Finding grace is like finding rest and we do that at the Cross.  Like the vision of the wheels, our lives are laid at the cross and find power when we stay connected to the element of the Gospel. Noah found grace and the boat saved him and his family from the flood of sin We find grace at cross and we are saved from the flood of sin in our lives. Now this is the next day, today, I write.  I had a great devotion this morning.  Yesterday, I had no idea that this was coming but this morning everything changed.  God dropped in my heart wh...

Revival? (Acts 2:18-21)

Revival? In the last days, God said, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams, In those days I will pour out my Spirit  upon all my servants, men and women alike  and they will prophesy. And I will cause wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below--- blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness,  and the moon will turn bloodred before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. And anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.                                                   (Acts 2:18-21)  Revival?  How does it come?  With much prayer they o...

All (Romans 1:18-20)

But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves.   For the truth about God is known to them instinctively.  God has put this knowledge in their hearts.  From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky God has made.  They can clearly see his invisible qualities---his eternal power and divine nature.  So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.  That word "all", if it wasn't there it would change the whole meaning for a lot of Christians.  But no, God put this word in there for a reason, didn't he?  Yes the reason was to cause all Christians who push that Bible passage in churches, to repent.  They certainly meant well and it made us all look good in the eyes of the world.  But to God, it caused his anger to show against us.  So much, that our sermons lack the fire and our prayer meeting are so boring and repetitive.  We want nothing,...

We are in Exile (Ezekiel 3:12-21)

The Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a loud rumbling sound behind me.  (May the Lord be praised in his place!)*  It was the sound of the wings of the living beings as they brushed against each other and the rumbling of their wheels beneath them. The Spirit lifted me up and took me away.  I went in bitterness and turmoil, but the Lord's hold on me was strong.  Then I came to the colony of Judean exiles in Tel-abib, beside the Kebar River.  I sat there among them for seven days, overwhelmed. At the end of the seven days, the Lord gave me a message.  He said, Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel.  Whenever you receive a message from me, pass it on the people immediately.  If I warn the wicked, saying, 'You are under the penalty of death,' but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins.  And I will hold you responsible demanding your blood for theirs.  If you warn them and they keep on sinning and refus...
