Adjusting Our Focus back on Jesus

I have noticed more than usual the coming “in” of a different Gospel portraying a “different Jesus .  In fact, it has happened for years ever slowly slithering like a snake into the Church .   We have many different gospels out there but many without the power of the Cross .  I am more aware of it in my own life .  We must go back to the Gospel of Christ .  There is a dangerous “Prosperity” gospel going around that preaches that God is “good ,” he is, but when ‘one’ goes through trials and temptations ‘one’ becomes incredibly surprised and even disappointed by this god who is “good.”  This way of thinking is very harmful since God is good and as a Father likes to discipline us to show his love for us .  He uses hardship to discipline us, and the Apostle Paul was not rich even though he preached the Gospel .  Christians might find themselves in adverse situation to prosperity and it makes me wonder; What would Jesus be like if he came to today’s world?   “But I am afraid that as the s

Rich or Poor? (James 2:1-13)

Rich or Poor? (James 2:1-13) Discrimination in the Church does not exist, right? Wrong! It might have to do with choosing between the rich and the poor.   There are other categories we might want to put people in like: business owners and farmers or employers and employees.   Even disabled physically or mentally vs. able people.   Just to name a few.   Whatever your conscience accuses you of.   If your conscience bothers you about anything, is it now time to repent? It is more intended for a married couple, but it could apply to anyone.   “Little foxes” could be anywhere in the body of Christ (the Church).   Little foxes can be in families between a husband and a wife or between siblings. In various relationships at work of otherwise.   Do you have a ‘chip’ on your shoulder?   Foxes

It is because like bread we use it every day. Prior to this parable (a parable is a story to teach a biblical truth), a man wanted Jesus to interfere with his family’s affairs of inheritance. So, Jesus responded by telling him he was not the one to judge. He freed this man with the truth  by giving him this story (John 8:32). The Parable The story goes like that, a rich man has a large field with barns where he can gather his crops and one productive year, he decides to build new barns and accumulate his wealth all to himself. God intervenes and put an end  to his life and tell him that his wealth will go to someone else. God decide his fate, not money. The moral of the story is: Do not accumulate riches for yourself only but learn to share it with the poor and use it wisely for God’s glory and kingdom
