Love can be a struggle

Sometimes, I think I am the only one who struggles to love…but no, I am not the only one. The proof is that in this world and everywhere there are conflicts, divorces, abuses of every kind.  If love was not a struggle everyone would get along just fine.  Even church people struggle with it.  Why? Because life and love were never meant or said to be easy.  When you think the greatest man that ever-lived sweated blood before going and dying on a cross for us.  Love should be a struggle. It should be a sacrifice.  It should cost you something or it’s not love.  Love cannot be stagnant, it must stay fresh, always active or you lose it.  If you struggle in loving people, you are not alone.  In my past, I have had jobs where I had to work with chocolate.  Yes, I know someone had to do it.  Working with chocolate is easy, you must know a few rules about chocolate.  It melts easy to a certain temperature and then you can do with it whatever you want.  I found that chocolate when it is melted goes in molds easy.  It does not resist you at all, it pours right in and that is how we are in this world, we pour right in and feel right at home with it.  Once a person wants to love the world they live in, there will be some resistance coming either from the mold or from within.  Love is contrary to world’s principles and to our flesh. In loving, you must ‘foolishly’ in Christ give of yourself without expecting a return and that is hard, but the rewards will be great.

Lately, we have heard a lot about the second coming of Christ, and our hearts must be ready with LOVE.

“And may the Lord cause you to increase and excel and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; so that He may strengthen and establish your hearts without blame in holiness in the sight of our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all the saints” (God’s people)                (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13) Amplified

We must increase, excel and overflow in love before His Coming. Let us do it!
