Are we fooling ourselves?

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,

That it cannot save, or his ear dull, that

It cannot hear;

But your iniquities have made a  separation.

Between you and your God,

And your sins have hidden his face from you

So that he does not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1-2)

I find this hard to speak about…Are we fooling ourselves thinking that all is good in our walk with God and it is not really going well with him or with people.  I feel weak and uninspired to write but I do it anyway hoping that some fruits will be harvested in people’s lives.  Is there a wall between us and the Lord?  Have we really missed the mark?  Sin means ‘missing the mark’ but it does not stop there!  “If we confess our sins, he is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 john 1:9)

By Jesus we can be forgiven.  The wall of separation has been broken the moment we accept him as Lord and Savior.  If you are a Christian fear not there is no condemnation for you (Romans 8:1).  It is all the others who should fear an angry God who is loving enough to forgive anyone who comes and will wipe it all away.  God is patient but he is coming back soon.  We must be ready before him and have enough oil to burn.

We must not be discouraged and drained but lively and filled with the Holy Spirit.  God is on the side of the one who is for him.  He loves you is all I can say…he loves you very much.  More than you love your own self.

He took the agony of the cross to proof his love for you even if you had been the only one.  When each of us see the Cross and is saved it is a personal cross like we are with him alone.  In other word, he didn’t die for a bunch of people he died once for each one of us without regrets.  He is asking you now.  Will you come to him?
