Where is your Faith? (Luke 8:22-25) (Psalm 121:3-4)

One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's cross over to the other side of the lake."  So they got into the boat and started out.  On the way across, Jesus lay down for a nap, and while he was sleeping the wind began to rise.  A fierce storm developed that threatened to swamp them, and they were in real danger.
The disciples woke him up, shouting, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"
So Jesus rebuked the wind and raging waves.  The storm stopped and all was calm!  Then he asked them, "Where is your faith?"
And they were filled with awe and amazement.  They said to one another, "Who is this man, that even the winds and waves obey him?"

I don't know what you are going through right now and maybe you are asking: "Where is God?"  He is there and although Jesus in his human form had a need for rest and sleep.  Jesus in his divinity didn't sleep. 'He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you will not sleep.  Indeed, he who watches over Israel never tires and never sleeps' (Psalm 121:3-4)  The disciples might have known this portion of Psalm, the promise of God. God was there with them and since God was there so was their faith.  "Where is your faith?"  Their faith was not with them but it was with Jesus.  Fear manifested itself with the storm but faith was there, present with Jesus.  Faith only leaves when fears come in.
Fear comes in as we see the Coronavirus doing its devastation in our world, but where is your faith?  It should be there with Jesus.  Not in you but in Jesus, the person of faith really.  In fact, he is the author of our faith.  The focus of our faith is Jesus, not us.
Faith and hope are very closely connected and down the funnel, their meaning becomes 'rest'
Faith is always an investment in someone or something.  Where is your faith?  Like fear it needs a place to go.  Faith and fear are enemies to each other.  You have either one or the other.

It's absolutely your daily choice to live in fear or faith. Your choice to invest and watch your words.  When I hear someone say: "Boy, I have such a great faith!"  I wait.
Jesus is the only one qualified to diagnose your faith.

Have a great day!
