June 05, 2020 But it is actually best for you that I go away, because if I don't the Counselor won't come.  If I do go away, he will come because I will send to you.  And when he comes, he will convince the world of its sin, and of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgment.  The world's sin is unbelief in me.  Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more.  Judgment will come because the prince of this world has already been judged. Jesus was letting his disciplesknow before his crucifixion that soon he would go away but that he would not leave them alone, consequently, he would send the Counselor which is one of the title of the Holy Spirit.  Another title for the Holy Spirit is Comforter.  These titles refers only to the Holy Spirit relation to the believer. So he left Judea to return to Galilee. He had to go through Samaria on the way.  Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.  Jacob's well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.  Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, "Please give me a drink."  He was alone at the time because his disciples  had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans.  She said to Jesus, "You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman.  Why are you asking me for a drink?" Jesus replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who I am, you would ask me, and I would give you living water." Today in our world people are obviously angry, defeated maybe by all that is happening and I don't blame them.  There is a lot to be angry about.  We just have to kee

Simon Peter said, "I am going fishing." We'll come, too," they all said.  So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. At dawn the disciples saw Jesus standing on the beach, but they couldn't see who he was.   He called out, "Friends, have you caught any fish?' "No," they replied. Then he said, "Throw your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you'll get plenty of fish!" So they did, and they couldn't  draw in the net because there were so many fish in it. Now in the light of what I said yesterday about God loving you and the world many times over and with everything that is happening in this world...Do you feel his love?  Probably not, because his love is not necessarily meant to be felt but to be known, to be aware of despite of what is happening around you. Many people like the disciples have prayed all night or worked hard all night at being religious but have not caught any fish.  Life can be tou
