Please don’t but only if you want! I am reading a book that inspires me very much. It is called, “Out of The Comfort Zone” by
George Verwer. Who was the international director of Operation
Mobilization. I met George in 1984, when
I was with OM in Belgium on a summer mission trip from here Canada. He was a good example to me. He went to be
with the Lord just recently.
In this book, he writes about a book of Charles
Swindoll, “Grace Awakening”. In that
book, I paraphrase that if we understood vertical Grace, we would be able to
live the horizontal Grace.
We have been saved by Grace, let us give that Grace to
others with them present or not. If we
were to ask any Christian of any church, if his or her church lives in unity,
he or she probably would give an affirmative answer. Yet in our spirit, we can judge silently and
not offend anyone right? I do it, we all
do it and it offends God. He knows our
every thought (1 Chronicles 28:9) We have lowered our standards and lowered our
shields before the enemy of our souls.
We have exchanged what is holy for something unholy (Romans 1:21) and
little by little Satan fools us. It is
time to raise our shields and remind Satan that we mean, WAR!
First, before we can reach this world with the Gospel
of Love, we must ensure that that Love is found in our individual life and
among our communities whatever they are and please do not pretend to love God knows and God does
not take it too kindly. The Church will
one day be corrected. The Church must be
accountable for something. All the
Church has been called by Christ to evangelise and I don’t know what the statistics
are but if only 2% Christians are doing it, there must be division here somewhere
We cannot even agree on whether we should reach out the world with Christian
literature or not. Of course, we should it works for us.
Which brings me back to email me…What if you could
email someone every time you want to judge them or compare yourself to them.
Would you, do it? No, you would be more
careful, right? Let us practice
horizontal Grace! As if we wrote it down!
