Help Me God! ( Psalm 43)

Help Me God!

(Psalm 43)

As I meditated on this Psalm, I did not realize that today would be Thursday and that the post had to be published today which I am doing right now.

The psalmist is experiencing adversity.  Does that ever happen to you?  Life can be chaotic. Most of my chaos happens because of my attitude to situations I find myself in.  They are all reactions filled with a lot of up-and-down emotions.

Most of my situations and feelings through them can be dealt with the Light and Truth of God.

Verse 3 (French Bible transliteration) “Make me see your Light and Truth,

May they guide me to your holy mountain, (Light)

May they drive me to your dwelling!” (Truth)

Light guides us

Truth leads us.

Verse 4- Don’t you feel his desire to be with God and where he really is?

He, then, realizes his mistake and notes that God is indeed his greatest JOY.

Folks, there is nothing else that will bring you JOY like God.  Money is futile and does not last and so is everything else you might be interested in this life.  They all perish or vanish or die before you.  In the end, God is the only One who remains in your life and the reality for most if not all of us is that we will face him soon or later.  Some in life and others after we die at the judgment seat.  He has our name either in the Book of Life or not.  It is our choice to be in or out.

Furthermore, in Psalm 43, he realizes also that it is futile to complain but to rather turn to God and praise him once more and not to give up.  To take courage and see the purpose of God in every situation you face.  That is where Patience comes in.  Many Christians encourage each other not to pray for patience but patience is necessary in my life.  I love Patience because it helps me to persevere.  We need Patience in many areas of life like money and relationships, why do you think there are so many hurtful relationships out there?  Lack of Patience.  Why do people miss God’s will for their lives?  Lack of Patience.  They want to speed up and have an accident, so they rush ahead.

Please, be encouraged and stay in God’s presence and where he is.  Don’t run ahead! Move with him.
