God knows your Worries
God is fully aware of what you either care or worry about. He also wants you to let him know how you feel about it. Are you angry about it or not? He wants to know even though he knows. He wants to know for your own sake. You need to vocalize your feelings. Prayer is super healthy for you mentally and physically. I am not just saying that I have not been sick in a long time. I don’t want to be.
In Psalm 139:1-3
“You
have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You
know when I sit and when I rise;
You
perceive my thoughts from afar.
You
discern my going out and my lying down;
You
are familiar with all my ways.”
Is it not great to know that God knows all this about
us and still is merciful with us to allow us to worry about it all? Would it not be easier to simply trust Him
and “Cast all our cares upon Him for He cares for us” (1 Peter 5:7). I know but I still do worry occasionally. The older I become the more I realize how futile
and wasteful it is to worry.
Our day will not be better because of our worries and
so will our relationships also suffer.
Now this is a little exercise you can do on yourself: Check and see how you do with worries. Are
you aware of your thoughts and words enough to find out how much time you spend
worrying?
To help you not to worry maybe do what I have done
about it for myself. I am a creative
person and I have found that the antidote to worry is to create. You and I are creative persons and need creating
all kind of things, writing, cooking, baking etc.… and all these creative outlets
will keep our minds busy in a constructive way rather than destructive.
