Understanding God’s plan through trials (Proverbs 20:24)

So many people are looking for answers these days and there does not seem to be a response from anybody and even God seem to be silent.  For some people it seems that life is lived in a vacuum.

I used to be one of those people, even after I had been a Christian for many years, I could not find anyone to relate to me.  It is an awful feeling.  Just put yourself in someone else’s shoes for a minute and you might find that the road they are on is very challenging.

Many people in today’s world are asking “why”? We do not have all the answers, and we know by our own admission even as Christians that life can be tough sometimes.

I do not know why for example on the same day one person might be born and another die before his or her  age.  Yet several places in the Bible it says that “Human’s ways are ordered by the Lord”.

The Lord directs our steps,

So why try to understand

Everything along the way” (Proverbs 20:24)

I know that it is a hard pill to swallow but once again we are faced with the same issue, ‘Trust’.

For every “why’s” in this world there is a “trust”.  Well, you say…It is difficult to trust, and it is.  We must put our trust however in a loving and understanding God who has born the sins of the whole world and suffered for it an excruciating death, and nobody ever asked ‘Why’ when it happened to Him.

God’s answer to our why’s remains the same than the answer to his own suffering.  In the echoes of the centuries, he says to you and me…I still love you.

Because, beyond a shadow of a doubt we know he loves us all. We must make a response to his love a priority in our lives and trust him for the best outcome there is even if it hurts for a while.

What I want you to remember is that our Christian faith is sound and clear and that our trust in the Almighty God must be steadfast and certain because he is all we need.  A God of love and comfort and beyond words compassionate to all,
