God is not mad at you! (Psalm 145:8-13) (Psalm 121:4) (Romans 5:22-24)

The Lord is kind and merciful, slow to get angry, full of unfailing love.  The Lord is good to everyone.  He showers compassion on all his creation.  All your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will bless you.  They will talk together about the glory of your kingdom; they will celebrate examples of your power.  They will  tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign.  For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.  You rule generation after generation.  The Lord is faithful in all he says; he is gracious in all he does.

It is very strange! I could read these verses over again and never think that God is mad at me for being who I am.  It only feels like God is mad at us when we are not obeying his words.  Then we feel distanced, he doesn't like sin more than we don't like the virus.  Sin has no place in his presence.  It is sin that actually gives us that feeling of separation from God.  He loves us nevertheless and this is what these verses say to us.

When you read these verses don't you have that feeling and knowledge that God is awesome and great and rules this world with great power.  What can stop him from doing what he wants?  Whatever is allowed is allowed by his great power and nothing can escape him.  Not even the evil intentions of humans from any nation.

He rules over all generation and no he won't fall asleep in the middle of his work and have a nap.  He is watchful over us!
"Indeed, he who watches over Israel never tires and never sleeps. (Psalm 121:4)

Do you want to have that knowledge and assurance that the God of all the universe watches over you and be friend with him as Abraham was?  You can.  It's a promise in his Word.  You can have the same relationship with him that our father Abraham had with him.  You can have it by faith through Jesus Christ.  He loves you through him who died for you.

And because of Abraham's faith, God declared him to be righteous.  Now this wonderful truth---that God declared him to be righteous---wasn't just for Abraham's benefit.  It was for us, too, assuring us that God will also declare us righteous if we believe in God who brought Jesus our Lord back from the dead. (Romans 5:22-24)

Have a great day!
