Where do you go for Comfort? (Psalm 27:1-2)

The  Lord is my light and my salvation ---so why should I be afraid?  The Lord protects me from danger--- so why should I tremble?
When evil people come to destroy me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.  Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will know no fear.  Even if they attack me, I remain confident.

Where do you find comfort when you are hurting?  In your husband?  In your wife? In sex or alcohol or drugs?  Is your comfort in money?
All of those things and people are unreliable because they could be gone in a blink of an eye.  Overnight!

The Lord is my light - to light my way
The Lord is my salvation - to save me

What else do I need?  Why would I be afraid, he is my Comforter.  I am covered on every side.  Even when the tempest beats against the boat I won't drown.

The Lord protects me from danger --- does it say from some danger, no if it doesn't say from all danger it's presume to be from all danger, any danger.  So why? Would I tremble? Is there any reason to fear anything?  Wouldn't it be even stupid to fear if God says there is nothing to fear.  Why would I even be stressed for one minute?

Even when people do things against me and become my enemy, they are the one who will stumble and fall, but not me because my boast is in the Lord.  I will remain confident all the way.  The Lord will make them stumble because he has a time for everything and everyone.  Just wait!

Even if a whole army comes against me.  No problem, I will go against the strongest, the giants, the Goliaths first and severe their heads and the army will run in fear because of what God can do.  Yes sir, that's my God you are messing with.  I am really confident he will stick with me on every side.  More confident in him than any of my friends...My friends could say 'no' but God wouldn't and that it's his promise to me.

I had rather hold to a dry rope with a knot in it when I am over a precipice than a wet rope with no knot.
Because the knot is my guarantee.

You can still choose the rope right now.
Jesus or the devil?
Jesus tells always the truth, the devil always tells lies.
It's a 'no brainer' to me.

People are not perfect, but Jesus is.  Trust Jesus Christ instead!

Have a great day!
