Praise God!

As I picked this passage from my French Bible, I had to find an English translation that would be close to what it said in French.  Thus, I chose the New Living Translation for this purpose.

So, we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

He has showered his kindness, along with all wisdom and understanding.

God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ- which is to fulfill his own good plan.

And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring together under the authority of Christ-everything in heaven and on earth.  Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.

God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.  And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you.  And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit whom he promised long ago…

(Ephesians 1:3-13) Verse 14 is good too.

 

With the Good News of the Gospel came the revelation of God’s secret plan.  This plan is to bring everything on earth and in heaven under the authority of the One and Only Christ.  Right now, this plan might look impossible but when he will have thrown the devil in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10) it will be glorious for us his believers.  With a plan like that the whole world ought to take heed and pay attention to what is happening with us.

 

Moreover, with all the evil that is happening in this world we are fortunate to have a Holy Spirit to organize the chaos, but the Holy Spirit is also given to us to identify us to Christ, and he was promised to us long time ago.  We have a lot to praise God for: For his Grace in our lives and for the fact that even though we did not ask for it.  He made us part of that plan unto eternal life.  A lot of people would do anything to be with a celebrity these days but just imagine...  None of the celebrities would die for you and yet Christ died for you and that is the One you should look forward to spending eternity with.  He is the true Hero. Praise God!
