Who is in Control?(Proverbs 19:21) : Let's face it! If we are honest with ourselves we will admit too that we are somewhat all control freak in some capacity. Let's find out through this post.

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.  (Proverbs 19:21) Seemingly I am talking about myself again, but through all this I will point you to God.  I have been a control freak all my life.  I finally admit it today, it was hard.  Let's see! As I look back at my teen years, I wanted to be in control through my anger against my parents.  As an adult, our wedding was predominantly planned by me.  I chose the colors of the wedding and made the wedding cake.  Now when I delegate my wife to prepare a meal for us, I still want to look over her shoulder to make sure she does it right.  I feel that as a former cook I always have to be in charge, even just a little.  Can you relate to this?  Aren't we funny?  If only we knew how little in control we really are.  We just like to do a lot of pretending.  Pretend that we are in control.  Nothing has changed from when we were young children. Encouraging Hope (Zechariah 9:11-13)

  Before he left, he called together ten servants and gave them ten pounds of silver to invest for him while he was gone.  (Luke 19:13) The first servant reported a tremendous gain ---ten times as much as the original amount!  Well done! The king exclaimed.  You are a trustworthy servant.  You have been faithful with the little I untrusted to you... (Luke 19:16-17) The third servant  brought back only the original amount of money... I hid it and kept it safe...I was afraid because you are a hard man. to deal with. (Luke 19:20) You wicked servant! the king roared, "Hard, am I? If you knew so much about me and how tough I am, why didn't you deposit the money in the bank so I could at least get some interest on it?' (Luke 19:22-23) Investment, Investment! How much is that market worth to you?  How much is the Kingdom of God worth to you?  Is it worth enough to you to invest a little bit or as much as God wants you to invest?  Come on now, it is not that much a shot

When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him.  Then Jesus asked the man, "What do you want me to do for you?" "Lord," he pleaded, "I want to see!" And Jesus said, "All right, you can see!  Your faith has healed you."  Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus praising God.  And all who saw it praised God, too.    (Luke 18:40-43) First of all, through my struggle with my mental illness, I had to learn and to have the "I can" mentality.  The "I can" mentality has nothing to do with the faith movement or anything as such. Indeed, for me it meant literally, 'survival'.  I call it positive input and your brain is like a computer.  If you tell it that "you can" it will believe it as much as you would tell it that "you can't".  Besides that, Jesus had his healing power as well.  I have proved that technique over and over again to be true in my own life.  I can do
