God with us....Forever

God with us…Forever

From the beginning of times

From the beginnings of beginnings, God was there fashioning and building what we see and feel what is all around us today.  In Psalm 90, we are told that before the mountains and that the world was born into existence.  He was there and he was God.  That same living God is with you today through whatever situation you find yourself in.  He is with you on Mondays and throughout the week.  Don’t miss him!  The Bible clearly shows that he is with his people when times are tough for them.  He cares immensely for each one of us more than we care for ourselves.  We cannot make excuses for leaving him.  People all around us may mess us up enormously, but it does not mean it is God’s fault.  We should not turn our back on him for that reason.  Today, too many things are blamed on others including God and it is not fair.  Whatever, you decide to do with others or with God don’t forget he still has the last word on your life.  He is the Great Judge; he is the Judge of judges and King of kings.

From Dust to dust

Whether you believe that human evolved or were created, we seem to have that common believe that we started with dust.  Anyway, since God was the only one present, I tend to believe his account in Genesis 1 and 2 he simply created man out of dust from the ground and woman out of his rib.  Why is that so hard to believe since scientist have discovered that this would be quite possible? Nevertheless, in the same psalm 90, it says that it is God who makes us go back to dust (v.3)

A human life’s ultra fragility is plainly compared to a weed’s  shortness of life (v.5).  Make it count while it lasts. Unless at the end of your life you find yourself with many regrets.  If you have family spend lots of time with them.

Respect God’s strength.

God’s wrath is different than our anger, it is wrapped in justice.  We owe it respect and trembling as we are always in awe of God.  That is what Psalm 90:7 and verse 11 are all about.  Remember, he has the last word on your life, and you should not take it lightly because he does not.

As a word of comfort, he ends this Psalm with this (in the French Bible) “Accorde nous ton amitie”  or Grant us your friendship, v.17)

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands…” (Psalm 90:17)
