Stay away from her!  Don't go near the door of her house! My father taught me, "Take my words to heart. Follow my commands, and you will live. Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don't forget my words or turn away from them. Don't turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. A father or a mother teaches wisdom all the time by their examples and words.  Some parents have been gifted with more wisdom than others, but in the end there is a wisdom that will stick with that child for the rest of his life. Like a mother teaching her child to walk on the side of the street facing the traffic, if the child listen this could save his life.  He might remember it for the rest of his or her life.  My mother taught me principles of etiquettes and my father taught me principles of good business just by his example.  Taking pride in a job well done came from both of my parents.  Parents can be very valuable in the child's formation and that's why they need quality time together. Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. We all know and emphasize the verses before that, some of us even have them memorized. What about these two verses?  We might end up seeing the doctor less often if we adopted wisdom's principles in our lives.  Healing to our bodies and strength to our bones.  Anyone with bone disease of any kind? A lot of people are turning to herbs and natural medicines, but we have neglected the wisdom of God that urges us to turn from evil.  We don't like to do that, you say!  But here we see it as being healthy for you.  That is why the book of Proverbs is shied away from so much!  It encourages us to turn from evil continually.  Why?  Because God hates sin, I mean he just doesn't like it, but he hates it with a passion just as much as you hate certain things. Hate is a strong emotion of total dislike.  But here we are encoura

  My child listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding,  out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guard the path of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Wisdom has to be heard and listened to.  It does not come so obviously on the sheet of your Bible because that would be legalistic.  We don't live by the letter of the Law, but by the Spirit.  Your ears have to be tuned in and that requires adjustment.  It's not the same for everybody and we don't all come from the same cookie cutter.  We actually don't come from a cutter at all.  We were each fashioned by God for a specific purpose

These are the proverbs of Solomon, David's son, king of Israel. Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise. Proverbs seems to be a book that scares a lot of people. We either don't want to read it or teach about it which in my opinion is foolishness.  I tell you why right now if you let me finish. People who thinks that they are already wise don't read it because they think they already know enough and people who think others are already wise don't teach about it or if they teach about it other people may think that they are already wise.  Anyway that's all confusion and foolishness because this first two verses in Proverbs clearly teach you that they are there to teach us wisdom because we don't have that kind of wisdom in us and as we are going to see through the Bible, we, naturally don't seem to care. So what is the world talking about when it shows some kind of wisdom? It speaks of James 3:15

People with good sense restrain their anger; they earn esteem by overlooking wrongs. Proverbs is always a good book to read in the Bible.  It teaches about the everyday life.  The practical and social side that we are lacking in. We need help especially when it comes to anger.  I needed a lot of help about anger in my past. A quick word comes out to quickly and can do a lot of damage in a short amount of time in a marriage or a family or in any relationships. We would do well to hold a few back at times. The word "restrain" means to  prevent oneself from displaying or giving way to a strong urge or emotion. Do you feel you are no longer respected by people because of your anger the learn to be quiet and choose your words more carefully and you will be esteemed by overlooking their wrongs or whatever causes anger to rise within you. The word "overlooking" is interesting as well it means among other thing, to miss something on purpose or by mistake. So it would be bet
