Jesus gave up everything for you (Isaiah 53:2-9)

...There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him..  He was despised and rejected---a man of sorrows acquainted with bitterest grief.  We turned our backs on him and looked the other way when he went by.  He was despised and we didn't care.

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down.  And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God for his own sins!  But he was wounded and crushed for our sins.  He was beaten that we might have peace.  He was whipped, and we were healed!  All of us have strayed away like sheep.  We have left God's path to follow our own.  Yet the Lord laid on him the guilt and sins of us all.

He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word.  He was led as a lamb to the slaughter.  And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.  From prison and trial they led him away to his death.  But who among the people realized that he was dying for their sins---that he was suffering their punishment.  He had done no wrong, and he never deceived anyone.  But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man's grave.

Many have attempted to disprove the existence of Jesus Christ or even deny him in the course of history.  It is however hard to deny your own conscience and sweep history under the carpet.  This is undeniably the description of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.  It was given by prophecy through Isaiah the prophet who wrote his prophecies eight centuries before Christ.  Yes, this was announced 800 years before Christ came.  How awesome is that?

Seemingly, he lost all hope even to the point of crying to his heavenly Father, God "Why have you forsaken me?".  No, it was not even enough that he had lost his reputation with God, he also had lost it with mankind leaving him unrecognizable and defaced.  He had faced the worse abuse than any man suffered before or since.  Void of any hope of recovery at that point, totally helpless for us.  His wounds healed us and his brokenness will make us whole once we appropriate the salvation he provided.  Our sins can be washed away once we beg for forgiveness.  Yes, we are beggars but at least our stubbornness is gone when we finally recognize our needs for help this one time and many times over.

I am sorry, but I can't read this passage without my conscience crying for help to my precious Savior and acknowledging that immense sacrifice he made in order to make me worthy of God's love.

Who else on earth would want to go through that for others?  No one I suppose.

Fortunately,  a way has been laid for us to go to heaven.  The only way to go to heaven is through Jesus Christ because of that sacrifice through his precious perfect Blood.  It is not through good works done by mankind but through his work on the Cross.  This work on the Cross is the only way, there is no other, but Jesus, God the Son.  He was fully human to make the sacrifice, he is fully God to receive it.  Your decision to accept the sacrifice he made for you will bring you into a relationship with God.  Accept his forgiveness for your sins today!

He loves you and so do all your brothers and sisters around the world.

We are all one big family washed by his blood.
