What Would Jesus Do?

As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and Pharisees brought a woman they had caught in the the act of adultery.  They put her in front of the crowd.                                                 "Teacher," they said to Jesus, 'this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.  The law of Moses says to stone her.  What do you say?'                                                                                      They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger.'                                                                                  They kept demanding and answer, so he stood up again and said, "All right, stone her.  But let those who have never sinned throw the first stones!"                                                                       Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.                   When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman.                                                       Then Jesus stood up again and said to her, "Where are your accusers?  Didn't even one of them condemn you?"                                                                                                                               "No Lord," she said.                                                                        And Jesus said, "Neither do I.  God and sin no more."

They came with their law against Jesus, but not against the woman.  Remember? They wanted to trap him by his words.  The Law of Moses said to stone her but what would Jesus say or do?  They no longer had a mind of their own, but it was the Law. Their only preoccupation was that the people abide by the Law.  They knew no one could keep it but they didn't care as long as they could stone them or cut them to pieces with their words.  That's the kind of business they were in and they didn't care what others thought.  They didn't even care what Jesus thought of them, they just wanted to trap him and end up crucifying him.

He ended up taking the punishment for her, although she was not stoned, she was forgiven by the perfect man and God, Jesus the Son of God.

What would Jesus do or say?  This is the appropriate question to ask ourselves when we face any situation.  It does come naturally as we bask in his Presence.  We are in Him then as He is in             us.  We don't need to ask the Father then because the transaction has been done between us. Jesus and I are one.  No sign of pride, this should be normal for all of his spiritual brothers and sisters.

I apologize for the way this text look I had problems with the set up.  It's very windy here and that must be the problem.  I will try to fix that tomorrow.  Please don't throw any stone.

Thank you for sticking with me.
