Prophecies of Jesus's birth (Where and Who?) Micah 5:2 ; Isaiah 7:14

Where was Jesus to be born?  Micah 5:2  Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village in Judah.  Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past.

In the Hebrew language, Bethlehem stands for the House of Bread and Ephrathah means "Fruitful"

This prophecy is fulfilled in Matthew 2:4-6

...Where did the prophet say the Messiah would be born?" he (Herod) asked them.
In Bethlehem," they said, "for this is what the prophet wrote:

'O Bethlehem of Judah,
You are not just a lowly village in Judah,
for a ruler will come from you
who will be the shepherd for my people Israel' "

Who was Jesus and was he born from a virgin?  Isaiah 7:14  His name was Immanuel and he was born from the virgin Mary.

All right then the Lord himself will choose the sign.  Look! The virgin will conceive a child!  She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel----God is with us'

The prophet Isaiah lived about 700 years before Jesus was born and his prophecy was fulfilled.  When God gives a prophecy to someone it is proven true by its fulfillment. It was fulfilled in Matthew 1:22-23

All this happened to fulfill the Lord's message through the prophet:

"Look! The virgin will conceive a child
She will give birth to a son,
And he will be called Immanuel!
(meaning, God is with us."

Well, here we go again, this amazing Isaiah prophesied 700 years before that the mother would be a virgin which is very unlikely to happen unless it's purposely planned that way by God.  That the baby would be a boy and his name would be related to his divinity Immanuel.

May Jesus be with you today.  Worship him the King of kings and Lord of lords.
